Attribute Bulk Settings (First time) : Create Attribute List File
What Is the Attribute List File?
The attribute list file is a CSV file used for bulk registration, editing, and deletion of attributes. By uploading a prepared CSV file, you can register multiple attribute entries at once. The registered information will be reflected in Motivation Cloud Engagement / Sharing. This setting is not required for Motivation Cloud Role Development.

If you are registering attributes for the first time, please set the attribute language before downloading the attribute list format.
Set Organization/Attribute Language
Create Attribute List File
STEP 1. Register Attributes and Attribute Items (Required)
1.Enter the attribute code and attribute name, as well as the attribute item code (Japanese) and attribute item name (Japanese)
The display order of attributes on result screens, etc., follows the order listed in the CSV file. If a hierarchy is configured, the order of attribute hierarchy level (Column C) takes precedence.
|
Enter the "Attribute Name" and "Attribute Item Name" in the language(s) registered from Column I onward.
|
|
In addition to the attribute items registered here, respondents can select "Not Applicable" on the survey answer screen. If you want to check the results for the "Not Applicable" attribute item, you need to register an item such as "Other." You cannot view results for "Not Applicable" alone. For more details on setting up the organization/attribute selection, refer to Set Up Attribute Selection for Survey Answers. |
STEP 2. Set Attribute Hierarchy (Optional)
Setting attribute hierarchy levels is optional. Use this if you want to create hierarchical relationships between attributes such as “Area” and “Branch.” When assigning attribute items to users, selecting the lowest-level item will automatically link the user to upper-level items as well.
Attributes without hierarchy such as gender, nationality, joining year, or employment type do not need this setting.
① Enter the Attribute Hierarchy Level (Column C)
Enter 1, 2, 3, etc., in order from the top level for each attribute.
- In the example below, since the hierarchy is Area → Branch, input 1 and 2 in Column C.
- On both answer and result screens, attributes will be displayed in the order specified in Column C.
② Enter the Parent Attribute Item Code (Column G) and Parent Attribute Item Name (Column H) for each Attribute Item (Column F)
Example: If the parent attribute of "東京本社" in row 4 is "関東エリア",
enter "AI-1" in column G and "関東エリア" in column H.
Setting the Attribute Association Type (Optional)
There are two types of attribute association: Automatic Association and Position.
Automatic Association Type
You can automatically associate users’ "Date of Birth" and "Date of Joining", registered in User Settings, with attribute information such as "Age", "Joining Period", and "Years of Service". This ensures that even as users’ age or years of service increase, they are automatically associated with the appropriate attribute items.
Position Type
Register attributes that you want to treat as Position.
Once registered, you can assign different Positions to users for each department they belong to, even if they are part of multiple departments.
|
“Position Type” applies only to Motivation Cloud Engagement. |

When Using the Motivation Cloud Engagement Admin Panel in English
