Creating the Attribute List File
STEP1. Register Attributes and Attribute Items (Required)
① Enter the attribute code, attribute name, attribute item code (Japanese), and attribute item name (Japanese)
- Attribute Item Name
If you use the same attribute item name for different attributes, we recommend registering a name that clearly distinguishes which attribute it belongs to. This makes it easier to identify which attribute an item belongs to when checking settings screens or results in other features, such as Custom Tabulation Settings.
Example: If you register the attribute item name "Other" for both the "job type" and "joining period" attributes, register them as "Other (job type)" and "Other (joining period)".
- Display Order of Attributes on Results Screens and Other Pages
Attributes are displayed in the order listed in the CSV file, but if hierarchy settings are configured, the order specified by the hierarchy level in Column C takes precedence.
The display order of attributes on the Results Screen and other screens follows the order listed in the CSV file. If hierarchy settings are configured, the order of the attribute hierarchy level (column C) takes priority.
|
Enter the attribute name and attribute item name in the language(s) registered in column I and beyond ・The CSV file will display the language(s) configured in the "Language Settings" of Attribute Settings. |
|
When having respondents select attribute items, they can also choose "None of the above" in addition to the registered attribute items on the answer screen. If you want to view results for respondents who selected "None of the above" you need to register an item such as "Other." You cannot view results for "None of the above" responses alone.
For details on Organization/Attribute selection, refer to "Set Up Organization/Attribute Selection for Survey Answers."

STEP2. Attribute Hierarchy Settings (Optional)
The attribute hierarchy level is optional. Configure this setting when you have attributes that you want to organize hierarchically, such as "Area" and "Branch." With this setting, when you enter the lowest-level attribute item for each user in User Settings, the user will be automatically linked to the higher-level attribute items as well. Attributes without a hierarchy, such as gender, nationality, year of joining, and type of employment, do not require this setting.
① Enter the attribute hierarchy level (column C)
For each attribute, enter 1, 2, 3, and so on in order from the highest hierarchy level.
In the example below, since the attribute hierarchy order is Area then Branch, enter 1 through 2 in column C.
Attributes will be displayed on the answer screen and Results Screen in the order of the numbers listed in column C.
② Enter the parent attribute item code (column G) and parent attribute item name (column H) for the attribute items in column F
In the example below, if the parent attribute of "Tokyo Main Branch" in row 4 is "Kanto Area,"
enter "A1-1" in column G and "Kanto Area" in column H.
Attribute Association Type Settings (Optional)
There are two attribute association types: Automatic Association Types and Position Type.
Automatic Association Types
The "date of birth" and "joining date" of users registered in User Settings can be automatically linked to attribute information such as "age," "joining period," and "years of service." This ensures that even as a user's age or years of service increase, the system automatically links them to the appropriate attribute item.
Position Type
Register attributes you want to treat as positions.
Once registered, you can assign a position for each department to users who hold concurrent positions in multiple departments.
|
"Position Type" applies to Motivation Cloud Engagement and Role Development. In Role Development, it is required when using the Conditional Target Respondent Settings. |

Therefore, even if you are using the Admin Panel in English, attribute names may still be displayed in Japanese.
If you want them displayed in English, register the "Attribute Item Names" in English in Attribute Settings.
