How to deal with leading "0" being deleted when downloading CSV files
If you upload a bulk settings file containing employee numbers or IDs that begin with a leading zero (e.g., 0001), Excel may remove the leading zeros when the file is downloaded later for updates. Re-uploading such a file may cause an error. Please refer to the instructions below for how to handle this issue.
After downloading the CSV file from the bulk settings, you must convert the format of any columns that originally contain leading zeros to “Text” before opening the file.
Example Procedure
⚠Caution The following is an example procedure and is not officially supported. The steps may vary depending on your version of Excel or changes to Excel specifications. If you have any questions, please contact your support provider. |
